The five-year D.D.S. Program offered by the Poznan University of Medical Sciences at the Center for Medical Education in English is designed for U.S., Canadian, and other international college graduates who have completed their pre-medical courses, and who have obtained satisfactory grades in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English. The curriculum for the English five-year D.D.S. program at PUMS follows the one taught to the Polish students. Upon completion, successful students will receive the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery, D.D.S. Those graduates who plan to practice dentistry in North America will have to complete two additional years of study in the United States or Canada, making it a total of seven years to obtain a license. It is a standard requirement for all graduates with a foreign degree in North America.

Admission requirements:
(1) high school or college diploma;
(2) official high school/college transcript(s);
(3) receiving a positive assessment at the preliminary interview with PUMS Admissions staff when candidates’ knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, Physics/ Mathematics, and English will be verified in both oral and written form;
(4) one letter of recommendation on school letterhead;
(5) completed application form at https://applicant.ump.edu.pl/create/assignment-request/;
(6) health certificate completed by a physician;
(7) proof of Hepatitis B vaccination;
(8) proof of health insurance valid in Poland, the EHIC for European citizens;
(9) photocopy of a valid passport;
(10) one recent passport-size photograph (no head cover) signed on the back;
(11) the SAT/ACT scores (optional);
(12) written proof of English proficiency for candidates who have not completed their education in the English language;
(13) copy of a student visa or other document confirming that the stay in Poland is legal;
(14) resume in English.
