Virtotechnology: Virtualization of Foundry Engineering

The specialisation “Virtualization of Foundry Engineering” is part of a second-cycle programme within the framework of Virtotechnology. All classes are conducted in English. The specialisation programme comprises courses such as technology and its trends of development, computer-aided engineering, modern systems of enterprise management, computer science, and applied mathematics. The programme of the specialization has been designed to be in line with the standard degree of Metallurgy and Science.

Graduates in this specialisation possess the ability to use commercial software packages, such as databases, graphic software tools, as well as programs such as CAD, CAE, and CAM. Since the European Union has given priority to such research areas as Information Society Technologies, graduates in the second-cycle programme of Virtualization of Foundry Engineering within the scope of Virtotechnology are best suited for research teams focusing on tasks related to materials technology and production engineering. This creates an additional opportunity for obtaining interesting employment within the European science and research structures, as well as industrial enterprises.
