The programme of study comprises 133 ECTS (=1000 hours of classes) spread over two years of study. The objective of the programme is to provide the students with such knowledge, problem solving skills and insight in mathematics that they are able to work professionally in different areas of mathematics (including teaching at primary or secondary school) or to use mathematical tools in the sectors of industry, information technology or finance. The programme also provides a good basis for PhD studies in mathematics.
The plan of studies includes the following topics: general and algebraic topology, measure and integration, algebra, real and complex analysis, differentiable manifolds and differential geometry, functional analysis, probability theory, partial differential equations, qualitative theory of differential equations, history of mathematics, teaching of mathematics, optional courses and seminars, course in Polish Culture and History and intensive course in Polish as a foreign language during the first semester.
