Jazz and stage music is taught at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław within the following specialities: saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, piano, double bass and the drums. Among the teaching staff there are leading Polish jazzmen, such as: trumpet player Piotr Wojtasik, pianist Kuba Stankiewicz and saxophonist Janusz Brych.

Jazz students are offered various performance opportunities, as members of the Academy's big-band, as well as numerous smaller groups. The jazz section of the Academy is located in a modern building set up in 2009, which is a part of the Campus of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music.

Rich didactic and artistic activity of the jazz section influences a success which translates into nemerous competition and festival awards.
