The programme is offered by the International Faculty of Engineering in cooperation with the Faculty of Technical Physics, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
It is a programme attractive for students interested in learning fundamental problems of exact sciences. The character of the programme is selective and depends on the students' preferences - they can choose from among a number of courses offered within these sciences. Students not only get acquainted with a wide area of applied physics, but also acquire knowlegde and competence in informatics and material science. They also obtain solid background in mathematics and mathematical modelling. They learn elements of discrete mathematics, differential and integration calculus, algebra, probablistic methods, mathematical statistics and mathematical methods of physics. Classes in technical drawing and fundamentals of mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics and informatics equip students with technical skills and competence.
Since a modern contemporary and competent engineer should also have an adequate quantum of knowledge in more general areas, the programme includes courses in organization, economy, safety at work, ergonomics, environment protection, and protection of intellectual properties.
