Field of study: Chemistry
Specialization: Chemical Metallurgy
Chemical Metallurgy comprises theoretical and practical background of extractive metallurgy. It aims to provide the students with a better understanding of the fundamental principles and their application in metallurgy and to expose the students to the relevant developments in this field. The field of extractive metallurgy consists of many sub-disciplines, based on various physical and chemical processes, that are steps in process of producing a particular materials (especially metals and alloys). These sub-disciplines can be grouped into the categories of minerallurgy, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy and electrometallurgy. Owing to acquired knowledge graduates will be ready to undertake the creative work in metallurgical industry.
The graduation document certifies the degree in chemistry with the notification of a deepened specialization in Chemical Metallurgy.
