The six-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Program in English offered by the Poznan University of Medical Sciences is designed for U.S., Canadian, and other international high school or college graduates whose goal is to receive a degree in pharmacy.
Candidates for this program may be accepted after demonstrating a necessary record of academic achievement in Biology, Chemistry, and English; and after passing a preliminary interview with the PUMS Admissions staff.
This six-year Pharm. D. curriculum is designed to meet the standards and guidelines for professional programs in pharmacy defined by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). It also adheres to the Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and to the requirements of the Council on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications.
Interested candidates who are high school graduates may apply for admission to the first year, i.e., the first pre-pharmacy year; whereas college graduates may apply for admission to the third year, i.e., the first professional year, of the Pharm. D. program.
Admission requirements:
(1) high school or college diploma;
(2) official high school/college transcript(s);
(3) receiving a positive assessment at the preliminary interview with PUMS Admissions staff when candidates’ knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and English will be verified in both oral and written form;
(4) one letter of recommendation on school letterhead;
(5) completed application form at https://applicant.ump.edu.pl/create/assignment-request/;
(6) health certificate completed by a physician;
(7) proof of Hepatitis B vaccination;
(8) proof of health insurance valid in Poland, the EHIC for European citizens;
(9) photocopy of a valid passport;
(10) one recent passport-size photograph (no head cover) signed on the back;
(11) written proof of English proficiency for candidates who have not completed their education in the English language;
(12) copy of a student visa or other document confirming that the stay in Poland is legal;
(13) resume in English.
