The graduate acquires the necessary skills and advanced knowledge: in technical sciences and in  geodesy and cartography. The graduate has abilities to manage teams, show creative initiative, make decisions and handle basic legal and administrative problems in business entities. The graduate has broader competencies in the scope of: contemporary methods for studying and modelling the shape and physical properties of the Earth, observation of their time-related changes, management of real estates and appraisal of their value; keeping a cadastre of real estates; numerical elaboration and presentation of results of geodesic, satellite, remote sensing and photogrametric surveys; determination and registration of real estates and their status; the graduate has analytical, creative, methodological and negotiation competencies and understands the legal, technical and social foundations of his/her work. The graduate is prepared to: work professionally in geodesy, cartography and land information systems; carry out geodesic tasks from positioning objects and drawing their representation on maps to prodiving engineering and industrial services, and conducting satellite, photogrametric and remote sensing surveys; prepare analyses and undertake actions regarding real estate management; use modern measuring techniques and the latest computer application to collect and process all types of information about land; assess the value of real estates and value of business entities; elaborate strategic documents dealing with real properties; prepare programmes aiming at improved competitiveness of towns, communes and regions. The graduate is prepared to work: in geodesic and cartographic companies and in related companies; in own geodesic or cartographic company; in local government or state administration offices; in business environment firms; in research and R&D centres. The graduate is prepared to undertake 3rd cycle (PhD) studies and research work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Having completed a 3-year professional training, the graduate has a right to take a state examination in order to obtain a professional license to start his/her own company in the fields of: geodesic topographic, situation and inventory surveys – delimitation and division of real estates (land) and preparation of documents for legal purposes, - geodesic basic surveys, - geodesic services for civil engineering projects, - geodesic management of farmland and forests, - map editing, - photogrametry and remote sensing.
