For 2 year MPhys: a bachelor degree (or equivalent degree) diploma in physics, astronomy, or a related science is required
The second-cycle Physics Studies is designed to provide students with knowledge of modern physics and skills necessary for specialists in professional laboratories, diagnostic companies and research institutions. In particular, a strong emphasis is put on the ability to use analytic computational and experimental tools in physics for solving nonstandard real problems.
The aim of the two year programme is to combine the advanced general subjects in Physics with specialization subjects chosen by students due to their interest.
The students are required to complete advanced courses
in Theoretical Physics, Solid State Physics, Quantum Physics, Nuclear, High Energy Physics and Introduction to Physics of Atoms and Particles which constitute an introduction to specialized subjects.
The programme offers the following specializations: Computer Physics, Environmental Physics, Theoretical Physics and Computer Astrophysics.
During the last two semesters students participate in elective courses which consist of graduate general and specialization seminars and monographic lectures.
The classes are run on weekly system, from Monday to Friday.
Studies end with writing master thesis and passing the exam.
