The Department of Physics and Astronomy at University of Zielona Góra offers a stimulating research environment for those wishing to pursue doctoral studies within the subjects of physics and astronomy. Senior staff scientists provide a supervision and research subjects fully integrated in the research program of the Institute. The research covers a broad range of currently developed areas in condensed matter physics (experimental and theoretical), medical physics, quantum optics, elementary particle physics, mathematical physics, astrophysics and cosmology. Our PhD students participate in international conferences, workshops, and seminars. Moreover they have been co-authors of many papers published recently in outstanding journals.
