Admission criteria – the new secondary school leaving certificate (maturity certificate);
result of the exam in Polish language (basic or extended level - written part) of the secondary school leaving exam;
In case of the Polish citizens who completed a secondary school abroad, the citizens from the European Union countries and the citizens of the countries outside the European Union, who did not take the exam in Polish language, the Recruitment Committees will take into account the result of the native language exam of the country in which they completed the secondary school, in the admission procedure.

Graduate degree in Pedagogy with specialization in Civic Education:
- Has knowledge in:
• contemporary issues in the field of security, human rights and content related to the protection and defense of
the civilian population;
• the creation of the rules of writing, correct them and techniques of self-presentation;
• on the principles and standards of ethical and philosophical foundations of ethics;
• in the field of education for democratic and European citizenship including prevention and health promotion;
• the history of ancient, medieval, modern and contemporary,
• on the political changes of the modern world;
• legal aspects of the functioning of governmental and non-governmental organizations;
• in the field of management of human resources.
- Has the skills for:
• observation, interpretation and analysis of phenomena relating to security, human rights and issues of civil
protection and civil defense;
• formulate written and oral statements regarding the selected educational issues and problems within the scope
of the chosen specialization;
• auto-esteem and auto-correction of their expression;
• assess the suitability of conventional methods, forms and best practices for the implementation of the objectives
of civic activities;
• assessing leadership qualities and obligations of organizations and groups;
• the use of theoretical knowledge in the field of civic education specialties in order to analyze, interpret and
design strategies of civic activities and solve problems in this area;
• analyze their own actions, extracting elements for improvement and design methods aimed at increasing the
effectiveness of those activities;
• analysis of the causes and effects of historical events and the use of knowledge of the history of his career;
• analysis of processes and phenomena that occur in different types of political systems, analysis of the
relationship between politics and historical events and processes, and cultural, as well as the analysis of human
behavior and social groups in public life.

A graduate also knows a foreign language at level B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe, regardless of the specialty has mastered the basics of science and the ability to use a computer in the creation of professional activities.
