The conditions of enrollment entail:
-a secondary school certificate
-knowledge of English language confirmed by a test at B2 level or equivalent. Students for whom English was the language of instruction in previous stage of education, or is their mother tongue, are exempt from the obligation to provide the results of the test.
-compliance with the procedural requirements and administrative procedures specified for all the candidates for studies in English at the University of Wrocław published on the website of International Office www.international.uni.wroc.pl
-a positive opinion of the application by the faculty Coordinator
The documents should be submitted in the form of scans attached to an account created on the website www.international.uni.wroc.pl.
If the documents have been issued in another language they should be translated into English or Polish.
The LL.B. International and European Law course brings together elements of domestic law, comparative studies, and European/international aspects through a focus on the knowledge, skills and social competences crucial to working in the legal profession and to pursuing further graduate-level education in the social sciences, with particular emphasis on specialization in study of the law.
The profile of the LL.B. International and European Law course introduces an international context, consisting in international legal relations between state actors and other participants, as well as issues surrounding the reciprocal relations between norms belonging to various legal regimes. Additional emphasis has been placed on issues related to European Union law, both in the context of formulating and implementing EU policies and activities, and in the institutional sphere of relations with Member States.
Upon completion of the undergraduate LL.B. International and European Law program, graduates will possess skills and general knowledge from dogmatic disciplines in the law, with particular focus on international and European law. The educational program also encompasses elements of knowledge from social sciences and economics. Graduates shall possess the ability to understand legal texts, to apply principles of logic, to interpret legal regulations and to continue education to the graduate level in legal specializations, as well as in social sciences and economics.
Graduates of the LL.B. International and European Law program will be prepared to
undertake employment in all public and private institutions requiring basic
legal knowledge, with special emphasis on international organizations and
European institutions. Graduates will possess interpersonal communication skills,
the ability to communicate in the process of making legal decisions, and the
ability to perform the role of negotiator, mediator and arbitrator in dispute
resolution based on domestic and international law.
Beyond knowledge of English on a level enabling smooth communication with the use of legal jargon, graduates should also acquire skills in another modern language on the B2 level as established in the Council of Europe Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In addition, a foreign student completing the LL.B. LL.B. International and European Law program should attain knowledge of Polish at an A1 level under the aforementioned system.
The LL.B. International and European Law program is intended for both Polish citizens as well as students from abroad. As they are undergraduate-level studies, candidates are not expected to possess detailed knowledge of an academic nature. Candidates should be able to display knowledge of the English language sufficient to participate in classwork. Additionally, it is neccessary to fulfill the formal requirements for commencing studies at the University of Wrocław. The rules concerning payment of tuition for the LL.B. International and European Law program are regulated by the relevant rules of the University of Wrocław
