PROFILE - SHORT DESCRIPTION

Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) conducts research in various areas of economics, finance, management and business administration as well as in public policy and political science. Our researchers lead the rankings of internationally recognized academics from Poland, e.g. in RePEc repository.

SGH authors were awarded numerous prizes for scientific publications and research results, e.g. prestigious awards granted by the National Science Center, foundations, magazines and renowned institutions. SGH researchers are among experts of the European Commission in the fields of research & innovation as well as social policies. They advise for other institutions of the European Union such as the European Court of Auditors.

SGH is ranked Poland’s top research university in economic sciences, with the grade of excellency awarded by Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The research activity concentrates in the institutes, chairs and departments comprised in five Collegia:
