Description:

Engineer, Principles for Tropical Agriculture

It is expected that, by the year 2050, the human population will reach a staggering 10 billion people! The production of food to sustain human life is one of the many challenges that our civilization faces. Conscious of that, the management of Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (WUELS), Poland, has developed a program that is designed to prepare the next generation of farmers to meet this challenge. Starting from the academic year 2014/2015, WUELS offers an undergraduate program Principles for Tropical Agriculture.

This is a three-and-half year full-time program delivered in English. You will be provided with the opportunity to study both the scientific background of agriculture and its practical side by attending laboratory, field, and farm practices. Following successful completion of the program, you will be well prepared to work on all types of farms, advise farmers, or work in the food manufacturing/processing

industry. With over sixty years’ experience in teaching at the tertiary level and doing research in the life sciences,

WUELS is well suited to provide training for top quality agricultural engineers to serve the domestic

and international markets of the future.
